Barack Obama Becoming Clinton III

Tagged:

His campaign mantra was ,"change." He claimed for 20 months that he was going to shake up the Washington establishment and it would no longer be business as usual. He talked about removing the influence of Washington insiders and becoming the ultimate Washington outsider with his message of ,"hope and change."

Yet first candidate and now President Elect Barack Obama has shown that he favors the Washington insiders and has no intentions of bringing ,"change." First he selects the ultimate Washington insider to be his Vice President and now as he works on his transition into the White House making appointments and hiring staff, Obama is creating the third Clinton Administration.

Throughout the campaign Obama attacked John McCain being tied to President Bush and that if elected a McCain Administration would be nothing more that a third, "Bush term." So Obama is elected and what does he do ? He begins creating a third Clinton Administration. First he selects former Clinton Chief of Staff John Podesta as head of his transition team.

Barack Obama - Should We Want Him To Succeed ?

Since the election was decided almost two weeks ago, there have been commentaries and pundits many who are conservatives who have stated that now that Barack Obama has been elected President, we should wish him well and hope that he succeeds. I have a problem with this type of a blanket wish for success with someone in whom I have no agreement with concerning policy and whose political philosophy, I believe, is not only dangerous for our country but will take us down a path that was never intended by those who Founded this Nation.

They forged a Nation by their sacrifice and blood at places like Lexington, Trenton, Camden and Yorktown. They defended the Capitol in 1812 and in that same century fought in unlikely places like Resaca de la Palmae , Rio San Gabriel Mexico, Gettysburg, Shilo, and Antietam. They suffered in the muddy trenches of Europe in WWI and stormed the beaches of Normandy, Anzio, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa in WWII. Korea found them at Inchon and Pork Cop Hill and Vietnam sent them to Hamburger Hill, Song Be and the, " Hanoi Hilton."

They combed the seas and skies during the Cold War while in a state of readiness , watching the moves of , "the Big Red Dog." They liberated Kuwait and have fought in the Middle East once again at Fallujah, Bagdhad, and the mountains of Afghanistan. They have served in Germany, Japan, and every nation in the free world as well as thousands of posts throughout The United States. While the Founding Fathers are the authors of our Nation Veterans are the defenders and the protectors of our freedoms and liberties.

Obama And Democrat Win Equals Wake Up Call To GOP

Now that the results are in for the 2008 election, the analysis and evaluation will continue for some time. Although from a media stand point, most of the post analysis evaluation is over and the speculation of how the Democrats especially the President Elect will govern dominate the pundits, those within both major political parties are looking at the data and trying to find answers as to how this election developed and what factors brought the final results, especially the GOP.

Barack Obama's First Press Conference......Sort Of

The new President Elect is holding his first post election press conference and we have managed to acquire a transcript, ( sort of, actually I made it up), of Barack Obama's pre-televised remarks to reporters. Here is what Obama had to say to the press before the cameras started rolling.

"Thank you for coming today and before we begin this live press conference I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation to each of you in the press whose tireless assistance in getting me elected is a big reason that I stand before you as President Elect. I especially wish to thank NBC, CBS, MSNBC, ABC, The New York Times, The LA Times and the Chicago Tribune for you exceedingly endless efforts in positive reporting that was essential in my election.

As a token of my appreciation to each of you who made this day possible, I am issuing a check from the left over funds from the massive campaign war chest that was acquired during the course of campaign. Just my way of saying thanks for all of your hard work on my behalf and to thank you in advance for your continued support during the next four years. "

Barack Obama, It Is Time To Govern

He asked for it for more than 20 months. He campaigned with a flair that few have seen in politics. He managed to win an election and keep much of his past in secrecy, a hard task in today's political climate. He has on his side something that few President's ever have. A media that is predominately in his court and not trying to dig up dirt or even scrutinize his policy.

Obama has also broken a ceiling that has been used as an excuse for lack of success in this country for many years. As the first black President, achieving the highest goal in our Nation, race is no longer an excuse for not achieving or succeeding in this country. Yes there are still those who are racist. Obama's election does not completely eliminate racism in people. But anyone who believes that just because of their color, whatever that color is, prevents them from succeeding need only point to the White House and say that if he can achieve and succeed then I can to. Obama has proven that race is not an obstacle if one wants something enough to achieve it in this land of the free.

Barack Obama - 44th President of The United States

In an historic outcome Barack Obama has been elected as the 44th President of The United States. While as a conservative I have many misgivings and disagreements ideologically, politically and philosophically with Barack Obama, as an American I must recognize the tremendous historical significance to his election as President.

For those in our Nation who believe that this country that we love is racist or that anyone who seeks to achieve in this land cannot reach for the stars, then the election of Obama should and must put to rest those thoughts and feelings and acknowledge that this is the greatest Nation on earth. Where a man whose descendants suffered the worst atrocities in our history has achieved the highest office in our land speaks of not only the greatness of our Nation but in the equality and advancements that we have achieved that brought us to this historic moment.

Barack Obama - The Case Against Him

We are entering the final hours of the 2008 Presidential race. This race began literally at the closing of the 2006 election and has gone full steam ever since. We have experienced the longest Primary season in recent memory and are now faced with an election that holds the future of The United States and who we will be as a Nation as the result of this long and at times agonizing road to The White House.

Barack Obama The Media Darling - The Proof

Tagged:

Even as I am writing this post, I realize that with the majority of those who are reading it, I am , "speaking to the choir," concerning the media bias toward Barack Obama. Unfortunately there are many who still think, as they drink the liberal Kool Aid, that the press in either balanced OR biased toward John McCain.

As the old saying goes, " the proof is in the pudding," and I have found the pudding to actually present the bias toward Obama by the numbers from research that has looked at this political campaign and the way it has been covered. The proof is not only undeniable but was gathered by a think tank who is non-partisan and looks at the media with a purely objective view.

Barack Obama And The Destruction Of The Constitution

The audio that has been front and center over the past few days in the 2008 Presidential election in which Barack Obama outlines how redistribution of wealth could be accomplished, and how the Supreme Court failed in the rulings concerning Civil Rights to bring about redistribution is also a telling showcase in how Obama views our Constitution.

Several times during the interview Obama talks of what he believes as Constitutional short comings and even mentions that the Court in its ruling failed because it chose to adhere to Constitutional constraints.
